About Us
Shrewsbury House Shares was born in 2016 when we (Simon & Tracey) set out to create all-inclusive superior accommodation for young professionals in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
We are NLA (National Landlord Association) accredited landlords and are passionate about what we do…our aim is to always provide the best shared living experience possible and to be the best landlords in Shrewsbury.
Our Houses
Our houses all have private luxury bedrooms most with en-suites and a great shared communal kitchen and living area. They are purpose built and designed specifically to take your comfort and living experience to another level with numerous features you won’t find in other houses.
You will find all bills are included in our room rates, no extra fees to pay just the monthly rent and a deposit when you move in is all that is needed to secure one of our great rooms.
Phwoowph!…cwoooore!…sheeesh!…(can’t find the words)…picks jaw up from floor…now I’ve recovered from the sheer shock and awe, I can honestly say…‘Man, that’s just amazing!’.
Your attention to detail and the choices for the furniture and finishing touches are just wonderful.

Services
We provide our housemates with fantastic homes and are proud of the excellent service we provide to them during their tenancies.
All our houses benefit from a weekly cleaning of the communal areas as well as a gardener to keep your private garden / patio a lovely area for summer drinks/ BBQs or of course just relaxing.
As landlords we feel we don’t have tenants but customers and our service levels are second to none in dealing with any maintenance issues ASAP should they arise.
Housemates
Our Housemates are all young professionals between the age of 20 and 35. We provide our housemates with fantastic homes and are proud of the excellent service we provide to them during their tenancies.

After living in one of the Shrewsbury House Shares for just over a year, I can honestly say it’s the best landlord experience I’ve ever had. Simon is attentive, extremely helpful and available whenever you need him (literally!). Nothing was ever too much trouble and if anything needed done, it was done straight away and on the same day in most cases!
The bedrooms are furnished to an exceptionally high standard, exactly how I would have liked to decorate it myself! The kitchen and lounge areas are also modern and spacious. I would definitely recommend and miss it already! If I ever need a house share again, I’ll be coming back to Simon!

The landlord is genuine and caring, any issues within the house are fixed immediately. He has a passion to deliver the highest quality of accommodation with a keen eye for detail. The rooms are furnished beautifully while the house is well insulated reducing noise pollution between rooms, this also keeps it lovely and warm in the winter. He often pays for pizza nights and surprises us at Christmas with gifts. He vets people making sure they are a good fit for the houses so the mood is always amazing and listens to any suggestions from his tenants that may improve their experience.

How do I arrange a viewing?

You don’t seem to be showing any availability...are all your rooms full?
Yes that is possible as our rooms do tend to go quickly. However if we aren’t showing any availability, feel free to contact us anyway as we are often aware of rooms becoming available in the near future and we can look to arrange one of those for you.
Do you provide Wi-Fi?
Of course, we wouldn’t expect you to live without it. We have super-fast fibre installed in all our houses providing great Wi-Fi speeds in addition to hard wired Cat 6 internet points in every room.
Are all the bills really included?
Yes...we pay them all. Your utility bills / Council Tax etc are included in your rent to make life easier for you. We also pay for a weekly cleaner who cleans all the communal areas and also a gardener!
What paperwork do I need to provide before moving in?
We'll need some basic information, references and photo ID to complete our tenanting and referencing process.
Do the rooms come furnished? If so, what’s included?
All our rooms include a double bed, mattress with mattress protector, wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside tables - most have a desk and chair plus extra storage!
What are the current housemates like?
The majority of our housemates are young professionals aged 20-32. They work in Shrewsbury and the surrounding areas; a lot are new to Shrewsbury when they first move in and are looking for like-minded people to share with.
What length tenancies do you do and how long can I rent a room for?
We offer a minimum six-month tenancy, but we find almost all of our housemates want to stay longer - which is fine by us!
How do I secure a room?
We always like to get to know future housemates a little first to make sure you’ll be a good fit for the house you are interested in.
So, after a telephone call we’ll arrange to meet you at the house and show you around to see if the room suits your needs and hopefully meet a couple of the current housemates.
If you are interested and we think you’ll be a good fit we’ll ask you for a £100 holding deposit to secure the room and we’ll stop advertising it. You don’t lose this deposit though as we will take it off your first month’s rent when you move in.
About Shrewsbury
Shrewsbury is the county town of Shropshire surrounded in a loop by the River Severn.
It has a largely unspoilt medieval town centre and street plan with over 600 listed buildings, including 15th and 16th century timber framed houses. It also boasts Shrewsbury Castle and Shrewsbury Abbey founded in 1074 and 1083 respectively.
You’ll find Shrewsbury a mixture of the very old and the very new with a fun mixture of entertainment and nightlife…gyms, sports clubs, cinema, restaurants and pubs…not forgetting great shopping with plenty of one off quirky independent shops.
